Every
day of the year, Faneuil
Hall Marketplace is on of America's first and foremost urban
attractions. From the break of dawn till the wee hours, it attracts
some 14-million guests annually. The market place is always filled
with tourists, as well as many local who come to browse through
over 125 shops that fill the area. The three large "markets",
North Market, Quincy Market and South Market, are always filled
with the roar of the large crowds that work and play in and around
Faneuil Hall. The North and South Markets are filled with a colorful
array of shops, while Quincy Market, which lies
in between them, offers everything from New England Chowders and
Lobster, to Greek salads, and Italian pastries. Walking outside
in the market place, is usually more fun than inside, more than
55 push-carts filled with unique hand crafted and specialty items
fill the area, and even just sitting on a bench and letting the
crowds pass you by is pure enjoyment, as many of Boston's greatest
performers offer free entertainment around the marketplace. Day
or night, rain or shine, the Market place is easy to get to and
comfortable to amble around in.
